To the Photographers,
As you have hopefully gathered, a main element of this web site is to bring life back, especially to defunct airlines, and a major part of that is instead of a list of previous aircraft flown, but actual pictures of those aircraft a former airline operated.
My intent in doing this is to pull images off the internet that are open source, and essentially free. To reiterate, this is a personal project I have taken on, and as such, is financed on my own. A massive source for photos is airliners.net. However that is the second place I go to as the logistics of asking for permission, waiting the days for a return answer, then posting the picture is logistically cumbersome if I can pull the picture I need from another source.
So a note to the photographers who post their work on airliners.net is appropriate here. If I have posted one of your pictures in an airline profile and you did not give me direct permission, then your picture ended up on another web page and I accessed it from there. Not that that makes it right, but give me a chance to ask permission to use your work, so that everybody is content with the end result. Whenever possible I will link a picture posted to the original source page. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Also, I realize how proprietary and protective photographers can be regarding images they have submitted to a web site. If you find that I have included one or more of your pictures, and you are unhappy by the further exposure your image(s) received and would rather they remain buried deep in the thousands of pages of airliners.net, then please, contact me and I will happily remove the offending image and allow it to disappear again into the oblivion of those tombs of pages again. This is a good time to remind a reader that this is truly a one person project, this web site as of now, makes zero money and if you want to get grumpy about me posting your picture, then that is your business and rest assured, I will remove that image ASAP and restore you to your evident delicate mental state of equilibrium.
Also, if you have a photo submission that you feel would be valuable for a particular airline profile, please email it to me and I will incorporate it into the site. One last note, I do try and credit all picture and will be happy to link a photo to your own web site, or page on airliners.net,.
